I received this book free of charge from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review。This was cute。 A quick read。 While some of Effie’s antics were a little unbelievable at times, it was humorous。 Good read for a low-key weekend。

The Party Crasher reminded me of why I loved reading Sophie Kinsella’s books when I was younger and made me want to reread some of my favorite books by her。 Her writing is so quirky, British, and fun to read with an easy to follow storyline。 The Party Crasher gave me Bridget Jones vibes because the main character, Effie, is stubborn and she has problems with men as well as with her family。 Effie is upset because she is having to say goodbye to her childhood home, but she literally ends up being The Party Crasher reminded me of why I loved reading Sophie Kinsella’s books when I was younger and made me want to reread some of my favorite books by her。 Her writing is so quirky, British, and fun to read with an easy to follow storyline。 The Party Crasher gave me Bridget Jones vibes because the main character, Effie, is stubborn and she has problems with men as well as with her family。 Effie is upset because she is having to say goodbye to her childhood home, but she literally ends up being a party crasher to the final farewell party for the house。 She eavesdrops on conversations that she would not normally hear, making it very entertaining。 It deals with the hardships of divorce, ex-boyfriends, and strengthening relationships with siblings。 Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for providing me with an advance copy in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

For some reason I kept waiting for the dead body to turn up。 Turns out, I was reading the wrong genre, lol。 I enjoyed this story and couldn’t put it down。 I really liked Effie and would have behaved as she had but at the same time, it’s clear she has on rose colored glasses。 Being the youngest sibling, she hasn’t always seen things as they were but as she wanted them to be。 Journey along with Effie as she tries to get her Russian nesting dolls。

Enter, retrieve, exit and don't get spotted by anyone in the process, should be a piece-of-cake (in theory)。 The reality, however。。。 running into the ex-boyfriend who broke her heart。 Dodging family members and guests by cowering behind furniture and inside cabinets。 Becoming the proverbial fly on the wall, overhearing conversations and witnessing private moments that start shedding light on some things that leave Effie wondering if she really knows her family at all。。。The Party Crasher is Sophie Kinsella's best book yet - the perfect balance of heart, humor and hijinks。 It's a combination of dysfunctional family dramedy with a second-chance romance, a formula that Sophie has perfected in all her books, but this one really shines。 The focus of the story is on Effie's personal growth and maturity that she's required to develop over a short time, and it should have felt forced, but quite the opposite - it felt natural that she would begin to reevaluate everything she thought when she's forced to confront a lot of truths she had previously chose to ignore, due in large part to her position as an observer of everyone's private moments and conversations。 Especially once her siblings, started to lose their own composure - seeing the normally composed and calm Bean lose her shit compels Effie to step up to try and hold the family together。Many thanks to Sophie Kinsella, Random House/Dial Press, and NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review。 Already looking forward to the next one! 。。。more

It's a wonderful, fun story regarding a slightly dysfunctional family。 Effie carried the story and everyone else is a minor character。 Although the story is about the family it is mostly focused on Effie and her feelings regarding the dynamic of the family。 Yet, I feel that Effie is not a fully developed character。 There is so much more to tell, especially her relationship with Joe。 I think there should be a full series on this family has each character has a unique personality。 I would love to It's a wonderful, fun story regarding a slightly dysfunctional family。 Effie carried the story and everyone else is a minor character。 Although the story is about the family it is mostly focused on Effie and her feelings regarding the dynamic of the family。 Yet, I feel that Effie is not a fully developed character。 There is so much more to tell, especially her relationship with Joe。 I think there should be a full series on this family has each character has a unique personality。 I would love to learn more about Bean and Gus。 As always, Sophie Kinsella, created characters that you'll fall in love with immediately。 Thank you to Random House Publishing Group - Random House and NetGalley for letting me read this ARC in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

Kinsella has a gift for creating the most lovable characters who find themselves in the zaniest situations。 Effie’s family life imploded two years ago and now the beloved family home is being sold。 Effie crashes the final party for a variety of reasons。 I was continually laughing at her eavesdropping positions and what she heard。 My most favorite scene was the outburst by the character who always tried to make peace。 I adored the reason Effie went back to her old house。 A fractured family heals。 Kinsella has a gift for creating the most lovable characters who find themselves in the zaniest situations。 Effie’s family life imploded two years ago and now the beloved family home is being sold。 Effie crashes the final party for a variety of reasons。 I was continually laughing at her eavesdropping positions and what she heard。 My most favorite scene was the outburst by the character who always tried to make peace。 I adored the reason Effie went back to her old house。 A fractured family heals。 The ending was perfect。 Crash into The Party Crasher。 I know you’ll be glad you did。 Thanks to Random House Dial Press and NetGalley for the early read。 。。。more

Phenomenal romantic comedy by Kinsella! I adore her romantic books because they give you the feelings of talking with an old friend about love。 This novel has the eccentric family relationships at the core and weaves in romance around them。 I appreciate this as a relatively new mama and as a 40 year old woman。 Funny dialogue! The relationships and secrets unravel with comedy and sadness about people making assumptions and worrying about their role in others’ relationships。 I loved some of the hi Phenomenal romantic comedy by Kinsella! Thank you Netgalley and publishers for the chance to read and review this book。 This was a four star rating。 I liked how this took in a short time, it flowed nice。 I actually liked the family and friends dynamic part of the plot more than the romance。 The love interests plot was ok, but I liked them as characters by themselves。 Also my favorite part of the book was the house。 It sounded so cool with all the attics and hiding places。

This may take the spot for my favourite Sophie Kinsella book! They are witty, fun, at times spicy, but always quirky and light! Yes, there are moments of drama and relatable issues, but at the end of the day, I'm convinced Kinsella only writes with gilded computer keys! The Part Crasher did NOT disappoint! It is all the things mentioned above and more。 I wanted to live at Greenoaks! I now want to hand-paint my kitchen and no one can tell me otherwise! This story follows the journey of Effie who is the baby of the family and happens to be idealistic and - if I may - naive。 Her world turns upside down when her parents decide to divorce even though she is a full blown adult and out of the house, she takes it the hardest。 Adult grieving for divorce is a real thing and I bet I would need it too if that happened to me! Effie is NOT a fan of her father's new love interest and it starts the family war of the decade when their [prior to the divorce] family home is being sold and Effie is cordially un-invited to the party! Hence the crashing that spurs SO many fun images and risky situations。 I would definitely recommend this book to other romance, family drama, and Kinsella junkies! 。。。more
